Electrodeposition NanoLab

Anthony Matimu ('26) and Anuja Magdum ('26) collaborated on the design, build & test of an experiment to study electrodeposition and battery chemistries in microgravity, designed to be deployed to the ISS.  The experiment implements a motorized, absolute-encoded sample wheel that can precisely, repeatably index a variety of anode/electrode/electrolyte canisters (or any other types of samples, really) in front of a microscope to be imaged sequentially and periodically in true microgravity over the course of ~6 weeks.  The experiment was designed in a NanoRacks' (now Voyager's) NanoLab form factor, to enable plug-and-play installation and operation in the ISS.
