Shannen Prindle ('23), along with Kyle Ikuma, was awarded MAE's John Marshall II Memorial Prize for best Independent Work in the aerospace field, in large part for her senior thesis designing a low-cost CubeSat reaction wheel module (along with her prior junior Independent Work designing our novel solar charging testbed!). . 

Shannen's fantastic thesis project was the design, build, and test of a ground prototype of our own PC104 reaction wheel module, for potential future use in CubeSat attitude stabilization and pointing. 

Shannen proved out the performance of her reaction wheel module on our new air-bearing-based attitude control testbed!
